The PTO is seeking a few parent volunteers, to come during one recess, from each class for an art project. This will be part of a small art auction in the May Ice cream social.  (*flyer below)

We are doing this to have fun, promote art and not necessarily make masterpieces.

The Annual Lake Center Ice Cream Social.  Free for all students and their families. Be prepared for lots of fun!

Our 1st Art Auction will take place featuring class projects from all grades.  Dare to outbid your neighbor while being impressed with some of the amazing artistic talent we have.

Scholastic Books are back and the Scholastic Book Fair will be set up in the gym.  Students and parents can shop or make wish lists during the day.  The Book Fair will continue through the Ice Cream Social Event.  For every purchase of $30.00 your name will be entered into a drawing for prizes to be given away that evening.  (You do NOT have to be present to win and all sales throughout the day will also be included).

Sponsored by the Lake Center PTO, this year’s event has extended hours (
6:00 pm – 8:30pm) to include those students who have sports and other activities on Thursday night and offers something for everyone including:
•    Ice Cream Social
•    Art Auction
•    Scholastic Book Fair
•    Anchor Run Signups
•    Thingstado Coupon Sales
•    Right Response First Aid Kit Sales
•    Girl Scouts (including a skit)
•    Cub Scouts
•    Portage Public Library Summer Reading Program

Make sure students complete and return the ice cream cones attached to the Scholastic Book Fair flyer.  These enter each student into both a school contest for classes and individual drawings to take place during the event.  AND for every cone turned in the Lake Center PTO will donate $.50 towards books for our students and school (Scholastic Books will also contribute toward these funds).

All the money raised from this event is used to support PE, Music,  Art, Technology and the Media Center.

Join us
Thursday, May 2nd from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm for a fun filled, family friendly event "
